Massachusetts Humane Society has arranged an agreement with the previous owner to adopt out and find a permanent home for the animal, from their home. Massachusetts Humane Society has a web site that will have a story and or a picture of the animal that is up for adoption, for you to see and read about. Massachusetts Humane Society also places the animal up for adoption in the Patriot Ledger newspaper under All Around Pound.

The family/person that is interested in adopting the animal needs to call Massachusetts Humane Society for a interview and to make a appointment to meet and see the animal.

The "Private Adoption Program" works out VERY WELL for the animal (cat/dog, etc..) in getting adopted into a home again. Private Adoptions work out well for the "Person/Family" that want to adopt an animal as well as assisting the people that need to give up their animal

Under the "Private Adoption Program" there is an Animal Adoption fee of $50.00 and or Animal Surrender fee of $50.00 plus an Agreement/Terms form letter for you to SIGN/DATE and return back to us. Box 890127, East Weymouth, MA 02189 or you can pay your fee online through PAYPAL.

IF or WHEN you can no longer keep the animal for ANY REASON (medical or otherwise.) You must CONTACT MASSACHUSETTS HUMANE SOCIETY and make arrangements to give back the animal and or put the animal back up for adoption.
